Text Messages from The Law Offices of Dr. Lloyd A. Newton
We text clients about their own case, and only when they have agreed to it.
How Clients Sign Up for Texts

client portal. The buttons work only inside the portal; clients cannot
sign up for texts on this page.
How Clients Agree
A client is asked once, by name, when they sign in to our client portal. The question is separate from everything else they are asked, it can be declined, and declining changes nothing about their case or what we charge. Nobody is added to messages by filling in a form or by giving us a telephone number.
Stopping Messages
Reply STOP to any message and they end immediately. Reply HELP for help, or call the office on 210.210.1616. Stopping the texts does not stop us contacting a client — anything urgent still reaches them by email or a phone call.
Your Number
We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers with anyone for their own marketing. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your phone company rather than by us.
What a Client is Asked to Agree to
We would like to be able to text you about your case.
If you agree, we may send you text messages about:
- Court dates, resets and reminders;
- An offer from the prosecutor, and what we recommend;
- Anything we need from you — a document, a signature, or a payment;
- A link to pay a fee or a court cost.
What this does not mean:
- We will not send you marketing or advertising by text.
- How often we text you depends entirely on what happens in your case. Some months there will be nothing at all.
- Your phone company may charge you for messages. We do not.
- We will never ask for your card details in a text message. A payment link will always take you to our own secure page. If a text asks you to reply with card or bank details, it is not from us — call the office on 210.210.1616.
You are in control of this:
- You do not have to agree. Declining changes nothing about your case, what we charge, or how hard we work for you — we will simply use email and the phone instead.
- You can stop the texts at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, or by telling us in writing (portal, email to LOR@newtonslawtx.com, or mail).
- Stopping the texts does not stop us contacting you. Anything urgent still reaches you by email or a telephone call.Version 2026-09-25
