Not all attorneys are alike. True, all attorneys had the requisite skills to get through law school and pass the bar exam, which is no small feat. However, within that group of talented individuals, there is still a wide range of talent and skills. Some attorneys become specialists, such as injury attorneys, while others spend their careers making plea deals day in and day out. Dr. Newton, on the other hand, is a highly accomplished attorney who is a generalist at heart, and he can help with all of your legal needs, from simple traffic cases to the most complex legal issues in state or federal court.
Dr. Lloyd A. Newton, former prosecutor turned Defense Attorney, holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Dallas, as well as a J.D. from St. Mary’s University Law School in San Antonio. Prior to becoming an attorney, Dr. Newton taught a wide range of courses from Greek and Latin to literature and geometry, and at all levels–from junior high school (including at Central Catholic) through college (including St. Mary’s University) and even graduate classes at one of the leading Universities in Europe.
On the academic side, Dr. Newton has translated and published logical and ethical works from medieval Latin, as well as published in peer-reviewed journals.
On the practical side, Dr. Newton has renovated over a dozen houses and runs a thriving rental business.
Austin Rucker, Associate Attorney
Austin Rucker has handled his own traffic tickets since the age of 18 and has worked as a high school special education teacher before using his Air Force GI Bill to go to law school, where he made the Dean’s List and was subsequently accepted to the law journal.
Admitted to the State Bar in 2022, Rucker handles many of the firm’s DFW regional appearances.
